Palestine

For some time now, Icelandic experts have been seconded to a number of international organizations in the Middle East. Palestinians have been supported both in the Occupied Territories as well as in UNRWA camps where Palestinian refugees reside. Icelandic secondees have provided expertise in various fields, such as humanitarian and social assistance, administration, policy formation and information management. The main partners have been UNRWA, UNICEF, UNHCR and OCHA.
