Cluster Munitions Convention (CCM)
The Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM
) was concluded in Oslo 3 December 2008. The Convention prohibits the use of cluster munitions that cause humanitarian problems. Provisions are made for stockpile destruction, clearance of areas and aid to victims. Negotiations tak place in Geneva on limiting cluster munitions on the basis of the Certain Conventional Weapons Convention (CCWC). Iceland supports these negotiations and encourages all states to acceed to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM).
