Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR)

The Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) is an informal forum of cooperation of about 35 states. It was initiated in 1987 with the aim of working against the spread of non-piloted delivery systems for WMD. Participating countries harmonise their implementation of export control.  Iceland became a participant in 1993.
